Conjunto Académico João Paulo Antigamente

Grande Homenagem ao Sérgio Borges& Conjunto Académico João Paulo.

Referência inquestionável da música madeirense, Sérgio Borges será homenageado pela nova geração de artistas da Madeira, que estará, no próximo dia 3 de Julho, às 21 horas, no Teatro Municipal Baltazar Dias, em concerto de homenagem ao artista e ao seu grupo, o Conjunto Académico João Paulo.


Vânia Fernandes, Miguel Pires, Sofia Relva, Paulo Freitas, Bruno Airaff, Rubina Fernandes, Maria da Paz e Sarah Borges, entre outros convidados surpresa voltam a dar vida a temas como “Milena” e “Eu tão só”, sob direcção artística de Barroco Azevedo e Georgy Titov, no espectáculo pensado pela 4EVART – organização e produção de eventos, de Daniel Borges e João Almeida, responsável pela dinamização de espectáculos.
Assim, no próximo dia 3 de Julho, os artistas referidos vão cantar temas de Sérgio Borges e o Conjunto Académico João Paulo. «Será uma viagem desde os anos 60 até à actualidade num evento repleto de glamour que promete marcar a memória dos presentes», garante Sofia Relva, da organização, em declarações ao JM.


Em suma, «em 2010 surge a tão merecida homenagem a um grupo que fez história a nível nacional», que começou como um grupo musical de liceu e tornou-se na primeira banda a lançar um LP, a ter clube de fans e a utilizar guitarra eléctrica na TV em Portugal». E que, tantos anos após terem terminado como grupo, ainda hoje dão que falar, como demonstrou o facto de a colectânea de êxitos lançada em 2008, ter esgotado nas lojas FNAC.
Recorde-se ainda que Sérgio Borges, nascido na Madeira a 18 de Outubro de 1944, foi o primeiro madeirense a participar no Festival RTP da Canção (em 1966), com o tema «Eu nunca direi Adeus», que conquistou o segundo lugar e que acabou por ser editado num disco do Conjunto Académico João Paulo.


Com vários sucessos na carreira, é também de lembrar que, em 2005, foi um dos homenageados com o Galardão da Cultura atribuído pelo Governo Regional.
Agora, em 2010, Sérgio Borges volta à ribalta, nas vozes de artistas que o idolatram.

José Figueiras canta na Festa da Cereja

O apresentador actua no dia 20, numa festa com muitos artistas da Região





Foi a Cantar o Tirolês e com a Banda Muita Lôco que José Figueiras chegou à música popular portuguesa, depois de dar os primeiros passos no jornalismo e mais tarde na apresentação. Mais conhecido dos seus programas na SIC do que da sua faceta de cantor, é nesta última que José Figueiras está no dia 20 de Junho no Jardim da Serra, como convidado especial de mais uma Festa da Cereja, que começa a 19.

'Muita Lôco', 'Ai, Os Homens', 'Paródia Nacional', 'Cantigas da Rua', 'Às Duas Por Três' e 'Big Show Sic' foram alguns dos programas de televisão que apresentou. Actualmente está com o 'Allô Portugal', na SIC Internacional e com o 'Companhia das Manhãs', na companhia de Rita Ferro Rodrigues, durante as férias de Francisco Menezes.

Foi em 1997 que gravou o 'A Cantar o Tirolês', um disco que chegaria ao ouro. Além deste disco, a banda editou 'Muito Lôco', 'Gritos de Guerra' e 'Regresso'. Entre os temas mais conhecidos de José Figueiras está o 'A Cantar o Tirolês', 'Popeye, o Marinheiro' e 'História da Minhota', temas que deverá cantar durante o espectáculo de cerca de uma hora.

Zé Figueiras está na Madeira dez anos depois de ter passado pela Região. Com a Banda Muita Lôco, recordou, andou em digressão pelo país, tendo passado pela Ponta do Sol e pelo Funchal.

Questionado para quando um novo trabalho, disse que não será para breve. Apesar de manter a agenda ocupada com espectáculos, o apresentador não está preparado para lançar-se novamente no mercado dos discos: "Por acaso houve gente que me sugeriu (...) só que estas coisas não é como a lata da Coca Cola, meter a moeda e sai a lata. Isto são coisas que têm de ser feitas com tempo (...) neste momento não estou para aí virado, mas pode ser que surja".

Algumas coisas são próprias, outras são que compõem para ele. É sempre com um espírito muito alegre. Nunca é nada assim lamechas porque não tenho jeito nenhum para essas coisas", admitiu.

José Figueiras vai subir ao palco no domingo, depois da actuação de João Quintino, que com um leque de outros artistas regionais completam o programa de animação para os dois dias.

Festa da Cereja: Dois dias de animação

A Festa da Cereja volta a animar o Jardim da Serra com o colorido da fruta, mas também das pessoas e da animação que a 19 e 20 de Junho sobem às zonas altas do concelho de Câmara de Lobos.Este ano a Junta de Freguesia criou uma zona para a comercialização das cerejas, separada da área de exposição.

No sábado a Festa começa pelas 16 horas com os Trapalhões do Riso. Seguem-lhes Paulo Costa, um jovem do Jardim da Serra, o Grupo Folclórico da Casa do Povo do Curral das Freiras, o Som e Mar e os Amigos da Música.

No domingo a manhã está reservada para as provas desportivas e para a vertente religiosa.

A partir das 13 horas começa a componente de animação com o espectáculo Madeira em Festa, seguida dos discursos oficiais, do Cortejo Etnográfico e da actuação de dois grupos de folclore. João Quintino, José Figueiras, as G Stars, um grupo de palhaços e os Amigos da Música fecham o programa do segundo e último dia.
